Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of pre-employment screening
- must be willing to participate in the companys pre-employment screening process including drug screen and background investigation and meet company standards
- restaurant experience of at least 1 year
- ability to communicate verbally in English
- availability for day shift preferred
- availability for night shift preferred
- work location in person
Job Qualifications
- Certificate in food handling or sanitation methods or ServSafe certified preferred
- experienced in customer service
- strong work ethics
- demonstrated history of related food service experience
- prior cook experience within a fast pace or high volume environment
- ability to prepare and cook to order foods requiring short preparation time
- ability to read food orders or receive verbal instructions and prepare food accordingly
- ability to perform progressive cooking
- ability to communicate verbally in English
Job Duties
- Prepares and cooks to order foods requiring short preparation time
- reads food order or receives verbal instructions on food required by patron and prepares and cooks food according to instructions
- replenish the serving line
- performs fast food cooking and grill cooking duties
- provides the highest quality of service to customers at all times
- follows basic recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving foods
- operates kitchen equipment to measure and mix ingredients, wash, peel, cut and shred fruits and vegetables, and trim and cut meat, poultry or fish
- tastes products, reads menus, estimates food requirements, checks production, and keeps records to plan production and requisition supplies
- may select recipes, prepare bakery items, receive inventory, move and lift foodstuffs and supplies, and prepare meals for customers with special diets
- cleans and sanitizes workstations and equipment
- sets steam tables and ensures proper serving of food
- practices clean as you go
- performs progressive cooking
