Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • at least 21 years of age
  • current Arizona Driver's License with a safe driving record
  • ability to lift up to 100 pounds and frequently carry up to 50 pounds
  • willingness to learn basic cooking techniques
  • ability to follow detailed instructions
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • availability to perform physical work including standing for prolonged periods
  • compliance with food safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • for company insurance purposes, at least 21 years of age
  • possess a current Arizona Driver's License with a safe driving record
  • equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • one year of experience in a fast-paced, complex work environment demonstrating organizational and follow-through skills preferred
  • bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • knowledge of preparing food ingredients such as weighing out product for bulk recipes
  • skills in following recipes and portion sizes to maintain consistency in food quality
  • ability to measure ingredients and seasonings
  • ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail
  • ability to take direction and execute assignments
  • ability to handle interruptions and maintain focus
  • ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds

Job Duties

  • Assist in food preparation tasks such as weighing out product according to bulk site needs
  • stage the food for next day home delivery portioning volunteers
  • follow standardized recipes and portion sizes to maintain consistency in food quality
  • set up, run, and disassemble packaging machine
  • store assembled and labeled food trays in freezer
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations including proper storage of food items and cleaning of equipment
  • adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure compliance with health regulations
  • learn and develop basic cooking techniques and skills under the guidance of senior kitchen staff
  • follow instructions from supervisors and demonstrate a willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities
  • perform other duties as assigned
