Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods up to 8-10 hours
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions such as chopping, mixing, and lifting
  • Ability to work in high-temperature kitchen environments
  • Ability to use kitchen tools and equipment safely and precisely

Job Qualifications

  • Some prior kitchen experience preferred but not required
  • Strong attention to detail and solid knife handling skills
  • Dependable and team-oriented with a positive attitude
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • Must maintain proper uniform and grooming standards in accordance with Don Julio policies
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Wash, peel, chop, and store vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients as directed
  • Prepare sauces, dressings, salsas, and other food components based on kitchen needs
  • Label, date, and store all prepared food items following food safety protocols
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep station, including tools and equipment
  • Assist with inventory and restocking prep areas
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures in compliance with company and local health codes
  • Support Line Cooks with prep needs during peak service times
  • Uphold Don Julio’s brand values of pride, passion, and quality in every task
  • Assist in receiving and organizing kitchen deliveries as needed
  • Perform other kitchen duties as assigned to ensure smooth back-of-house operations
