Job Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of experience in kitchen preparation and line cook experience
  • positive energy and ability to assist fellow support staff and work as a team player
  • able to speak, read and understand basic cooking directions
  • ability to communicate effectively with managers, employees, and guests
  • flexible schedule to work days, nights, weekends and holidays
  • able to stand and walk constantly with occasional stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, or lifting

Job Duties

  • Refer to daily prep list for each shift and complete opening and closing checklists and promptly report equipment, food quality problems, or product shortages to Chef
  • prepares and portions a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment
  • understands and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures
  • maintains a clean and sanitary workstation area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, sauté burners, convection oven flat top range, refrigeration equipment, and adhere to all DHEC regulations for cleanliness and sanitation
