Job Requirements

  • previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation setting preferred
  • ability to follow safety and sanitation standards

  • knowledge of handling hazardous materials and bloodborne pathogens

  • physical ability to perform cleaning and food preparation tasks

Job Qualifications

  • prior experience in food preparation or kitchen duties advantageous
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

  • basic culinary skills such as washing, peeling, cutting, and cooking

Job Duties

  • Regular attendance is essential
  • assist in the preparation and serving of food in a quick and pleasant manner
  • responsible for preparing particular dishes or baked products
  • replenish food supplies during meal services including dishes, trays, and utensils
  • assist in daily kitchen and service area cleanup
  • clean dining dishes and pots and pans
  • assist in proper storage and disposal of unused food
  • serve students and staff from the serving line
  • maintain trash and garbage collection areas neat and sanitary
  • wash, peel, and cut vegetables, prepare recipes, and wash dishes
  • follow sanitation standards and health codes
  • perform other duties as requested by the supervisor
