Job Requirements

  • Less than high school education
  • Up to one-month related experience or training
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write simple sentences
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios
  • Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization
  • Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or scheduled instructions
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment
  • Physical ability to stand, walk frequently, and lift up to 25 pounds daily

Job Duties

  • Maintain extreme sanitary conditions by thoroughly cleaning work areas on a daily basis
  • Prepare food products to specification/recipe, ensuring accuracy and freshness for à la carte or banquet production
  • Help in the preparation and production of banquet events
  • Assist the line in stocking and finishing of products
  • Receive, stock, store, and transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
  • Clean all kitchen areas including stainless and surface tops, shelves, and walls
  • Clean equipment and floors and assist in dishwashing as needed
  • Remove trash and garbage and place into designated receptacles
  • Steam clean or hose out garbage cans
  • Attend in-service training and educational seminars as assigned
  • Represent the PGA of America in a professional manner
