Job Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • food Handler Card
  • previous experience as a prep cook or line cook is preferred
  • basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
  • ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Job Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • food Handler Card with a thorough understanding of kitchen sanitation and food safety codes
  • previous experience as a prep cook or line cook in a restaurant, healthcare, or senior living setting is a plus
  • basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
  • must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • a passion for serving older adults and working in a team-focused kitchen

Job Duties

  • Be a part of a compassionate and high-performing team to redefine senior living and deliver top-level results
  • wash, chop, measure, and prepare ingredients for daily meals and recipes
  • assist with basic cooking tasks under the direction of the Chef or Cook
  • follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene protocols, following state and federal guidelines
  • label and store food properly to minimize waste and ensure freshness
  • maintain the cleanliness and organization of prep stations, equipment, and kitchen tools
  • support the culinary team during meal service and special events
  • help receive, unpack, and store food deliveries
  • assist with dishwashing or other kitchen tasks as needed
  • communicate respectfully with team members, residents, and staff
  • contribute to a positive kitchen culture that emphasizes safety, respect, and service
