Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous prep cooking experience preferred
  • Ability to work varied shifts including full-time or part-time schedules
  • Must comply with health and safety regulations
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks required in food preparation
  • Must be able to follow detailed instructions and maintain food quality standards
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English

Job Qualifications

  • Previous prep cooking experience preferred
  • Ability to follow recipes and production schedules accurately
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards including HACCP guidelines
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to comply with company policies and procedures

Job Duties

  • Obtain daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the Chef
  • Prepare items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes
  • Complete and follow daily production worksheets and waste log sheets
  • Taste completed meals to ensure quality
  • Operate and clean equipment per department procedures after each use
  • Store, label and date all food items according to policy while following HACCP guidelines
  • Complete all required documentation, reports, and logs
  • Comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations
  • Take orders from customers and prepare items requiring short preparation time
  • Serve customers in an efficient and friendly manner
  • Complete orders from steam tables and grill while serving customers at multiple stations
  • Use approved recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and portion control
  • Resolve customer concerns
  • Perform other duties as assigned
