Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous prep or cook experience preferred
- food handler certification preferred
- ability to work full time including Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 9 am to 7:30 pm
- ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
- ability to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods
- good physical stamina
- ability to communicate effectively
- willingness to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Job Qualifications
- Previous prep cook experience preferred
- food handler certification preferred
- ability to prepare food in accordance with health and safety standards
- ability to follow recipes and production schedules
- effective communication skills
- customer service orientation
- ability to operate and clean kitchen equipment
- knowledge of HACCP guidelines
Job Duties
- Obtain daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the chef
- prepare items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes
- complete and follow daily production worksheets and waste log sheets
- taste completed meals to ensure quality
- operate and clean equipment per department procedures after each use
- store, label and date all food items according to policy
- follow HACCP guidelines
- complete required documentation, reports, and logs
- comply with health and sanitation regulations
- take orders from customers and prepare items requiring short preparation time
- serve customers in an efficient and friendly manner
- complete orders from steam tables and grill
- use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control
- resolve customer concerns
- perform other duties as assigned
