Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Culinary education preferred
- Minimum one year cooking experience preferred
- Ability to work standing for long periods
- Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds
- Manual dexterity to handle kitchen tools
- Effective communication skills in English
- Ability to work in varying temperature environments
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Culinary arts or culinary apprenticeship preferred
- One or more years of experience in a fast-paced, cook-to-order kitchen preferred
- Experience with scratch cooking preferred
- Experience with sauté and/or broiler cooking preferred
- Ability to read, write and understand English
- Strong manual dexterity with kitchen equipment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Prepare food items at the assigned station ensuring quality and quantity standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen work area
- Follow recipes and instructions from the Executive Chef
- Ensure all food preparation meets safety and sanitation standards
- Assist in managing inventory of food supplies
- Model The Sterling Touch professional, friendly, and timely service
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to deliver a seamless dining experience
