Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • culinary arts or culinary apprenticeship preferred
  • one or more years of cooking experience in a fast-paced kitchen preferred
  • experience with scratch cooking preferred
  • sauté and/or broiler experience preferred
  • ability to read, write and understand English
  • manual dexterity to use kitchen equipment and utensils
  • ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, push, pull without extended sitting
  • ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds
  • ability to perform functions in varying temperature ranges

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • culinary arts or culinary apprenticeship preferred
  • one or more years of experience in a fast-paced, cook-to-order kitchen preferred
  • one or more years of experience with scratch cooking preferred
  • sauté and/or broiler experience preferred
  • ability to read, write, and understand English
  • sufficient manual dexterity to use all kitchen equipment and utensils
  • ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds

Job Duties

  • Prepare meats, vegetables, potatoes, bread products, and desserts
  • maintain quality and quantity control of all prepared food items
  • adhere to cooking guidelines and safety standards
  • model professional, friendly, courteous, helpful, and timely service
  • assist in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen work environment
  • collaborate with kitchen staff and report to the Executive Chef
  • comply with community standards and procedures
