Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- culinary arts or culinary apprenticeship preferred
- one or more years of cooking experience in a fast-paced kitchen preferred
- experience with scratch cooking preferred
- sauté and/or broiler experience preferred
- ability to read, write and understand English
- manual dexterity to use kitchen equipment and utensils
- ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, push, pull without extended sitting
- ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds
- ability to perform functions in varying temperature ranges
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- culinary arts or culinary apprenticeship preferred
- one or more years of experience in a fast-paced, cook-to-order kitchen preferred
- one or more years of experience with scratch cooking preferred
- sauté and/or broiler experience preferred
- ability to read, write, and understand English
- sufficient manual dexterity to use all kitchen equipment and utensils
- ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds
Job Duties
- Prepare meats, vegetables, potatoes, bread products, and desserts
- maintain quality and quantity control of all prepared food items
- adhere to cooking guidelines and safety standards
- model professional, friendly, courteous, helpful, and timely service
- assist in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen work environment
- collaborate with kitchen staff and report to the Executive Chef
- comply with community standards and procedures
