Job Requirements

  • Prior relevant experience as a prep cook or similar role preferred
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift 30 lbs
  • Strong knife skills and ability to work efficiently with kitchen equipment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to follow direction
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients for dishes including cutting chopping and measuring ingredients
  • Follow recipes and directions provided by the head chef to ensure that all dishes are prepared consistently and to high quality standards
  • Work with other kitchen staff members to ensure that all elements of the meal including sides and sauces are prepared in a timely manner
  • Ensure that all food is prepared and presented in accordance with food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area including proper storage and labeling of all food items
  • Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of all kitchen equipment including knives cutting boards and food processors
  • Ensure that all food waste is minimized and disposed of properly
