Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of job related experience including food preparation and menu items
  • Knowledge of therapeutic diets
  • Ability to follow standardized recipes and food safety protocols
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen
  • Willingness to complete necessary certifications
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including full-time and part-time hours

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • One year of job related experience including food preparation, full-line menu items, and therapeutic diets
  • Culinary apprenticeship or training preferred
  • Food Services Sanitation Certificate

Job Duties

  • Prepares food items using standardized recipes in a timely manner
  • Determines food and supplies needed and coordinates meal production with serving hours
  • Monitors all food items to ensure minimum guidelines for temperature, taste, and quality are upheld
  • Ensures proper preparation, portioning, and serving of foods as indicated on menu cycle and recipes
  • Maintains or exceeds standards of appearance, cleanliness, hygiene, and health
  • Practices all safety and loss prevention procedures
  • Oversees food storage by checking labels and dates
  • Completes cleaning duties
  • Follows all local, state, and federal policies regarding food handling
  • Maintains food safety equipment and temperature records
  • Performs other duties as assigned
