Job Requirements
- One year of previous culinary experience preferred
- Ability to work full time or part time, including some weekends
- Ability to follow recipes and food safety guidelines
- Compliance with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations
- Ability to operate and clean kitchen equipment
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- One year of previous culinary experience preferred
- Ability to follow recipes and production standards accurately
- Strong attention to detail and food safety standards
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Capability to comply with sanitation and health regulations
Job Duties
- Obtain daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the Chef
- Prepare food items according to established quantities and recipes
- Complete and follow daily production worksheets and waste log sheets
- Taste completed meals to ensure quality
- Operate and clean equipment per department procedures after each use
- Store, label and date all food items according to policy and HACCP guidelines
- Complete all required documentation, reports, and logs as required
- Comply with all federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures
- Take orders from customers and prepare items requiring short preparation time
- Serve customers in an efficient and friendly manner
- Complete orders from steam tables and grill and serve customers at multiple stations
- Use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control
- Resolve customer concerns
- Perform other duties as assigned
