Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in food preparation or related kitchen duties
  • ability to perform physical tasks including standing and lifting
  • knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation standards
  • flexibility to work part-time or full-time hours

Job Duties

  • Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables
  • cut meat and prepare other basic ingredients
  • undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces and parboiling food
  • prepare simple dishes such as salads and entrees
  • maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
  • take out trash and manage kitchen waste
  • assist kitchen staff as needed to ensure smooth operations
