Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • culinary arts or culinary apprenticeship preferred
  • one or more years experience cooking in a fast paced, cook to order kitchen preferred
  • one or more years experience with scratch cooking preferred
  • sauté and/or broiler experience preferred
  • ability to read, write and understand the English language
  • sufficient manual dexterity of hands and arms
  • ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, push, pull and work continuously without sitting
  • ability to lift or carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
  • ability to perform all essential functions within varying temperature ranges

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • prepare various food items such as meats, vegetables, potatoes, breads, and desserts
  • maintain quality control and portion accuracy
  • follow recipes and cooking instructions accurately
  • model professional, friendly, and timely service behaviors
  • assist the Executive Chef with kitchen operations
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations
  • manage food preparation in accordance with community standards
