Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- able to stand or walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday
- capable of single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
- able to bend, twist, squat and reach
- exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
- ability to work in cold (below 32 degrees Fahrenheit) and warm (above 90 degrees Fahrenheit) temperatures and wet and dry conditions
- flexible availability including nights, weekends and holidays
- able to use tools and equipment including knives, box cutters, pallet jacks and ladders
- no prior retail experience required

Job Duties
- Assist with production for all prepared foods venues
- ensure all prepared foods are properly labeled, dated, initialed, covered, and rotated
- ensure product meets Whole Foods Market guidelines for quality and preparation
- document waste and spoilage using appropriate forms
- ensure that product production follows recipes and uses correct measuring devices
- help customers understand the difference between Whole Foods Market products and conventional store products
- keep walk-ins and freezers clean and well-organized
- arrive to work station on time, appropriately groomed and dressed
- provide excellent customer service and address customer needs promptly
- maximize sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising
- follow and comply with Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safety procedures
- maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment
- perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned
- immediately report safety hazards and violations
