Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Stand or walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday
- Use single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling hand motions
- Perform motions including bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
- Work with FDA approved cleaning chemicals
- Work in temperature conditions below 32 Fahrenheit (freezing), between 32 to 40 Fahrenheit (refrigerators), and above 90 Fahrenheit
- Ability to work in wet and dry conditions
- Must work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to use tools and equipment such as knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
- May require use of ladders

- No prior retail experience required
- Strong communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team
- Ability to deliver information clearly and respectfully to team members, customers, and vendors

Job Duties
- Assist with production for all Prepared Foods venues
- Ensure all prepared foods are properly labeled, dated, initialed, covered, and rotated
- Ensure products meet Whole Foods Market guidelines for quality and preparation
- Document waste and spoilage using appropriate forms
- Ensure product production follows correct measuring devices and recipes
- Help customers understand the difference between Whole Foods Market products and conventional store products
- Ensure walk-ins and freezers are kept clean and well-organized
- Arrive to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work
- Provide excellent customer service addressing customer needs timely and effectively
- Maximize sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising
- Follow and ensure compliance with established procedures including health and sanitation standards
- Maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment
- Perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned
- Report safety hazards and violations immediately
