Job Requirements
- availability to work Wednesday through Saturday, primarily mornings and afternoons with occasional nights
- previous experience in pastry or kitchen roles
- knowledge of food safety standards and practices
- ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- strong manual dexterity and artistic ability for cake decoration
- ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
- excellent teamwork and communication skills
Job Qualifications
- strong skills in cake decorating and pastry techniques are highly desirable
- previous experience working in a kitchen or food service environment is required, in fine-dining is a plus
- knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- ability to follow recipes and dietary guidelines accurately
- familiarity with culinary terminology and practices related to baking and dessert preparation
- strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- excellent communication and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- support the Christopher's team with the production, execution, and distribution of all pastry and desserts
- collaborate with the culinary team to develop new dessert offerings and seasonal menus
- prepare desserts, pastries, cakes and other items according to established recipes
- decorate pastries with artistic flair, ensuring visual appeal and quality and consistency
- assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies necessary for pastry production
- maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques
- follow proper food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety
