Job Requirements
- Ability to grasp, lift, carry, move or push goods on a hand cart or truck weighing up to 100 lbs
- sufficient manual dexterity to use all kitchen tools and equipment
- ability to perform duties within extreme temperature ranges
- ability to perform duties in confined spaces
- frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing and smiling
Job Qualifications
- Hold a current food handler card
- 3 years cooking experience preferred
- broiler cooking experience preferred
- basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations
- knowledge of service standards, guest relations, and etiquette
- good understanding of broiler cooking fundamentals
- good understanding of sauté cooking fundamentals
- knowledge of accepted sanitation standards
- knowledge of operating kitchen equipment including stoves, ovens, broilers, slicers, steamers, kettles
- basic math skills for recipes and portion sizes
- basic knowledge of English to understand inquiries and communicate instructions
- ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions
- ability to operate beverage equipment such as coffee maker
Job Duties
- Prepares daily preparation lists for production
- reads and employs math skills to follow recipes
- prepares all broiled and sautéed food items according to standard recipes and guest specifications
- visually inspects, selects, and uses only high-standard food items
- checks and controls proper storage of products with portion control
- maintains refrigeration, equipment, and working areas to comply with health regulations
- maintains all logs for cooling, heating, and temperature
- adheres to company policies and procedures
- follows safety and security protocols
- knows fire prevention and emergency procedures
- utilizes protective equipment
- reports unsafe conditions and accidents to management
- maintains a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
- performs related duties requested by management
- assists other kitchen personnel when needed
