Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent or a two-year associate degree
  • at least one year of cooking experience
  • excellent kitchen administration knowledge
  • ability to work as part of a team
  • strong organization and active listening skills

  • successful completion of company-required training including safety, systems and menu
  • adherence to Logans Roadhouse appearance standards

Job Duties

  • Prepares and cooks food requiring longer preparation time
  • ensures that the daily prep tasks are completed prior to service
  • follows basic recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving soups, meats, vegetables, desserts and other foodstuffs
  • prepares items as dictated by prep sheet needs
  • operates kitchen equipment to measure and mix ingredients, wash, peel, cut and shred fruits and vegetables, and trim and cut meat
  • tastes products, checks production and keeps records to plan production requirements and requisition supplies
  • cleans and sanitizes workstations and equipment
  • uses proper measurements as stated in recipes when preparing food
  • retrieves items for prep from storage to set up workstation
  • follows proper food cooling protocol
  • follows protocol to prevent risk of cross contamination
  • keeps a clean workstation with a clean as you go mentality
  • uses proper PPE such as cut gloves
  • assists with cleaning dishes, utensils and other food containers as needed
