Job Description

Kraft Heinz is a renowned global food and beverage company known for its iconic brands and commitment to quality. The Cedar Rapids facility, historically known as Quality Chef Foods before its acquisition and merger into Kraft Heinz, operates as a state-of-the-art production plant focused on producing frozen soups and macaroni and cheese products. This non-union, 3-shift operation employs approximately 200 hourly staff members, a mix of temporary and full-time associates, working together to manufacture high-quality food service products across multiple production lines including bag soup lines, tub lines, kettles, filling lines, and packaging lines. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a food production or manufacturing environment preferred
  • Ability to perform physical labor including lifting 50 lbs
  • Willingness to work 3rd shift hours from 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM
  • Ability to work in hot and cold temperature conditions
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Commitment to workplace safety and food safety standards

Job Duties

  • Weigh raw ingredients according to recipe
  • Organize ingredients by placing them in barrels, drums, etc
  • Perform constant and accurate inventory checks on ingredients according to schedules
  • Stage materials according to recipe
  • Complete paperwork and IQS entries
  • Cover staged ingredients
  • Place recipe tag on barrel or carts when recipe is complete
  • Clean and sanitize work area
  • Help with other recipes as needed
  • Perform equipment assembly and changeover as assigned
  • Verify product quality, item numbers, and weights
  • Follow all required safe work practices including PPE and JSA
