Job Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience preferably in an ambulatory surgery center
  • Active RN license as required by state of employment or appropriate compact licensure
  • Valid BCLS certification upon employment
  • ACLS certification as required by facility

Job Duties

  • Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care
  • Participate in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services in the unit in collaboration with other management members
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and managers to foster teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service
  • Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary
  • Support efforts to improve engagement by operationalizing nursing strategies including employee and hourly rounding
  • Provide recommendations for interviewing, selecting, and training new staff, including handling conflict resolution and performance evaluations
  • Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor in accordance with patient care needs and productivity guidelines
  • Support inventory control and manage supplies and equipment
