Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required by law
  • At least 1-2 years of supervisory experience in a restaurant or catering environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, event-driven atmosphere
  • Proficiency in computer usage for data entry
  • Excellent attendance record
  • Ability to enforce company policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Ability to manage inventory and cash handling
  • Ability to work flexible hours including event days

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to supervise the work of others
  • Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management, and guests
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • Possession of a valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required
  • Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly
  • Ability to calculate basic math functions related to POS transactions, cash reconciliation, and inventory
  • At least 1-2 years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced restaurant or catering environment or equivalent education

Job Duties

  • Oversee the setup of food and beverage service areas within clubs based on specific event needs
  • Ensure all clubs are set prior to event
  • Ensure quality and hospitality throughout all Premium Club areas
  • Communicate between department counterparts
  • Organize and prepare for events
  • Supervise team members on non-event and event days
  • Direct inquiries not related to food and beverage to the correct personnel
  • Monitor and maintain food quality
  • Assist management with enforcing policies, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Maintain and enforce cash handling policies
  • Monitor and enforce safe alcohol policies
  • Manage inventory control and product requisition
  • Have full knowledge of food and beverage menu items
  • Supervise the service of beverages including alcoholic beverages, verify IDs
  • Observe guests to respond to additional requests
  • Supervise setup of club functions including linens, dishware, glassware, and silverware
  • Maintain sanitation and safety standards
  • Ensure location equipment is operable and clean prior to events
  • Recognize and handle visibly intoxicated guests appropriately
  • Enforce Oak View Group policies and procedures
  • Practice excellent HR skills in employee relations, corrective actions, coaching, and counseling
  • Assist management with training, inventory, and special events projects
  • Perform other duties as assigned by managers and supervisors
