Job Requirements

- ability to effectively communicate with guests and team members
- previous food and beverage or customer service experience desired
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- availability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays

Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverages orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients advising guests on suitable food and drink combinations
- communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct orders and accommodate special requests
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
- maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
- promptly address complaints or issues relaying relevant information to supervisor
- ensure dining room is properly set up prior to and after service period
- operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea and soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
- work with other departments during special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
