Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to stand and walk extensively
  • physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • legal age for alcohol service
  • compliance with state and federal alcohol laws
  • excellent attendance and punctuality
  • ability to work during events and flexible hours

Job Qualifications

  • six months or more bartending experience
  • accurate cash handling skills
  • ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to work self-directed within a team
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • availability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and long hours
  • bartending school preferred

Job Duties

  • demonstrate ability to meet company standards for guest service, co-worker interaction, and uniform standards
  • follow bar pre-shift notes and bar menus and provide service as described
  • serve alcoholic beverages following state and federal regulations
  • learn and suggestively upsell various beer, wine, and spirits
  • pour drinks responsibly according to company serving sizes
  • check guests' IDs to verify legal drinking age
  • communicate cut-offs to guests as required
  • listen and respond to customer requests or concerns
  • de-escalate intoxicated guest situations and contact management or security when needed
  • contact management when decisions exceed standard scope
  • request or restock bar product as necessary
  • handle cash accurately and maintain bar bank
  • maintain clean and sanitary work station and bar equipment
  • assist with set-up and breakdown of bar equipment and cooler organization
