Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- ability to stand and walk extensively
- physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- legal age for alcohol service
- compliance with state and federal alcohol laws
- excellent attendance and punctuality
- ability to work during events and flexible hours
Job Qualifications
- six months or more bartending experience
- accurate cash handling skills
- ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- ability to work self-directed within a team
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- availability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and long hours
- bartending school preferred
Job Duties
- demonstrate ability to meet company standards for guest service, co-worker interaction, and uniform standards
- follow bar pre-shift notes and bar menus and provide service as described
- serve alcoholic beverages following state and federal regulations
- learn and suggestively upsell various beer, wine, and spirits
- pour drinks responsibly according to company serving sizes
- check guests' IDs to verify legal drinking age
- communicate cut-offs to guests as required
- listen and respond to customer requests or concerns
- de-escalate intoxicated guest situations and contact management or security when needed
- contact management when decisions exceed standard scope
- request or restock bar product as necessary
- handle cash accurately and maintain bar bank
- maintain clean and sanitary work station and bar equipment
- assist with set-up and breakdown of bar equipment and cooler organization
