Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in a server or customer service role preferred
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • strong attention to detail
  • ability to adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to work in a team environment

  • basic knowledge of allergy and dietary restrictions is a plus

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
  • demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
  • advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations and accommodate reasonable requests
  • communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure order accuracy and special requests
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • address complaints or issues promptly and relay information to supervisors
  • ensure dining room is properly set up before and after service periods
  • operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea and soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • work with other departments during special events and functions
  • perform other duties as assigned
