Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
- demonstrate knowledge of menu items, ingredients, specialized diets, and allergens
- advise guests on food and drink combinations and accommodate reasonable requests
- communicate directly with back-of-house staff to ensure order accuracy and special request accommodation
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe, and neat guest environment
- maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
- promptly address guest complaints or issues and relay relevant information to supervisors
- ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service, keeping the area clean while meeting sanitation standards
- operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
- collaborate with other department staff to perform duties during special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
