Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
  • demonstrate knowledge of menu items, ingredients, specialized diets, and allergens
  • advise guests on food and drink combinations and accommodate reasonable requests
  • communicate directly with back-of-house staff to ensure order accuracy and special request accommodation
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe, and neat guest environment
  • maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
  • promptly address guest complaints or issues and relay relevant information to supervisors
  • ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service, keeping the area clean while meeting sanitation standards
  • operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • collaborate with other department staff to perform duties during special events and functions
  • perform other duties as assigned
