Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food preparation or culinary arts preferred
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods, ranging 6-12 hours during events or as required by operational demands
- Ability to perform physical tasks including walking, standing, ascending/descending stairs
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs
- Manual dexterity and coordination to perform tasks such as chopping, cutting, and food preparation
- Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel
- Exposure to heat, steam, and cold temperatures within the kitchen environment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Valid Food Handler certification may be required
- Willingness to follow food safety and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- Experience in food preparation or culinary arts, large-volume kitchen experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, knife skills, and kitchen operations
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and HACCP guidelines
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a team environment
- This position may require Maricopa County approved Food Handler certification
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required for stadium events
Job Duties
- Prepare ingredients according to recipes, including chopping vegetables, cooking proteins, and measuring spices
- Prepare basic food items including hot dogs, pretzels, and other stadium fare according to recipes, portion guidelines, and Levy Core Signature standards
- Prepare ingredients by portioning, assembling, and heating/cooking items as needed
- Prepare items on production sheets following quantities, recipes, and portion control
- Assist in cooking hot and cold foods according to Core signatures and recipes
- Work closely with Culinary team to execute event-specific menu items, ensuring food is cooked according to recipes, standards, event specifications, and Levy Core Signature standards
- Complete daily production worksheets, ensuring accurate waste logs and inventory
- Operate and clean kitchen equipment, ensuring adherence to proper handling and safety procedures
- Ensure food items are properly stored, labeled, and dated according to standards, following food safety guidelines
- Complete prep duties, including washing dishes, taking inventory, and restocking supplies
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, including sinks, counters, and cooking equipment
- Follow established safety standards for food handling, cooking, and storage
- Work with Kitchen & In-Seats team to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service
- Assist with all event types including catering, department specific products, game day events
- All other duties as assigned
