Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet and direct guests to their tables based on availability or desired seating arrangements
- help create an overall enjoyable dining experience and promote a safe, clean, and neat environment for guests and other associates
- exhibit exceptional communication skills, get along well with others, demonstrate flexibility and patience
- maintain a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
- supervise activities of food-service associates in the dining room to ensure customer service, food handling, and sanitation procedures are followed
- help train new food-service team members
- supervise the closing of the assigned dining room ensuring proper completion of side work and station setup
- demonstrate knowledge of emergency safety procedures and assist in evacuations
- assist with service including occasional bussing and food service while maintaining safety and sanitation standards
- may operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
- work with staff of other departments during special events or functions
- perform other duties as assigned
