Job Requirements

  • At least 1-2 years experience in a supervisory role within a fast-paced restaurant or catering environment or equivalent education
  • Demonstrated excellent attendance
  • Availability to work scheduled events
  • Valid food handling certification or alcohol service permit if required
  • Ability to work flexible hours including events
  • Ability to enforce safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Basic computer literacy

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to supervise others
  • Excellent communication skills with employees, co-workers, management, and guests in a clear and respectful manner
  • Proficient in English speaking, reading, and writing
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • Possession of valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required
  • Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly
  • Basic math skills related to POS cash and credit transactions, cash reconciliation, and inventory

Job Duties

  • Oversee the setup of food and beverage service areas within premium and event spaces
  • Ensure all premium and event spaces are set according to established timelines
  • Maintain quality and hospitality standards throughout all premium and event areas
  • Facilitate communication between department counterparts
  • Organize and prepare events
  • Supervise team members on both event and non-event days
  • Direct inquiries not related to food and beverage to the appropriate personnel
  • Monitor and maintain food quality
  • Assist management with enforcing policies and procedures, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Maintain and enforce cash handling policies and procedures
  • Monitor and enforce safe alcohol service policies
  • Manage inventory control and product requisition
  • Have full knowledge of food and beverage menu items and accompaniments
  • Supervise beverage service to guests including alcohol, including verifying IDs
  • Observe guests for additional requests
  • Oversee the setup of linens, dishware, glassware, and silverware for premium and event functions
  • Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas
  • Ensure excellent attendance and punctuality
  • Ensure equipment is operable and clean before events
  • Identify visibly intoxicated guests and take appropriate action
  • Enforce all Oak View Group policies and procedures
  • Practice excellent HR skills including coaching, counseling, and corrective actions
  • Assist management with projects like training, inventory, and special events
  • Perform other duties as assigned by managers and supervisors
