Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three months related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to follow safety and quality rules
- Strong communication skills
- Physical ability to perform manual labor and equipment maintenance
- Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions

- Strong communication skills
- Capability to operate computerized batching systems
- Experience in operating heavy machinery preferred
- Willingness to perform manual mixing and routine equipment maintenance
Job Duties
- Follow all safety and quality rules and processes to ensure a safe work environment and high-quality products
- Communicate with bed foremen and quality control personnel to determine concrete formula and cubic yard requirements
- Call up formula from computer, enter cubic yards, and adjust moisture content as needed
- Monitor computer screen to ensure weighing and mixing of components according to formula
- Inject steam into mixture as required to achieve requested concrete temperature
- Direct equipment operators to the appropriate mixer
- Discharge concrete into delivery equipment
- Mix concrete manually when small amounts are needed
- Clean mixer and work area daily including chipping and greasing
- Substitute for equipment operators to deliver concrete as needed
- Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by supervisor
