Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • previous job-specific experience with pre-weigh duties preferred
  • compounding experience preferred
  • demonstrates attention to detail
  • comfortable taking work direction and applying self-initiative
  • able to recognize safety situations and apply smart action to resolve
  • prior use of forklift or pallet jack
  • competency around hazardous chemicals and signage
  • able to compute basic math calculations including familiarity with weight units such as kg, pounds, and grams
  • basic computer knowledge
  • basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • comprehensive ability using the English language to understand detailed SOPs, formulas and manufacturing instructions
  • able to read and interpret documents and reports
  • capable of writing routine forms, reports, and correspondence

Job Duties

  • Enforce hazardous material handling procedures
  • follow set manufacturing instructions, SOPs and GMP
  • provide pre-weigh tasks and actions of chemicals for batch compounding or raw material preparation
  • ensure all specified material types and quantities of liquid or solid raw ingredients are measured using manual scales or automated systems
  • document measurements and assigned formula varying from 1-gram to 3,000-pounds
  • extract bulk samples for laboratory analysis
  • assist in handling, dispensing and sampling of hazardous raw materials
  • assist in daily cleaning and sanitization of equipment including scoops, spoons, buckets, drums, kettles, mixers, pumps, utensils and compounding rooms
  • perform daily environmental monitoring according to schedule and SOP
  • record activity in database system
  • move chemical or material by hand or forklift
  • assist in weighing and mixing of sanitizing agents
  • review orders for accuracy and completeness
  • complete required batch documentation records
  • keep work area clean
  • follow all safety protocols including protective gear and equipment
  • assist compounding associates in tending mixing tanks, compounding kettles, mills and mixers, pumps etc.
