Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in veterinary practice management or related field
  • previous experience in a veterinary practice, equine preferred
  • demonstrated leadership abilities in managing teams and business operations
  • exceptional attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
  • strong understanding of equine lifestyle and terminology
  • proficiency with relevant business software and financial management tools
  • ability to work flexible hours and step in during staff shortages

Job Qualifications

  • Strong background in equine veterinary practices
  • proven management experience in operations, HR, or business leadership
  • excellent organizational and communication skills
  • customer service mindset with the ability to balance empathy and efficiency
  • proficiency with business systems, reporting, and financial oversight
  • familiarity with veterinary clinic workflows and ambulatory services
  • ability to lead and motivate diverse teams

Job Duties

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the practice to ensure efficiency and excellence in client care
  • manage HR functions including onboarding, scheduling, performance reviews, and team development
  • monitor financial performance-budgeting, profit and loss reporting, and expense management
  • support and guide staff to maintain a professional, positive, and collaborative workplace
  • partner with leadership to streamline workflow, improve processes, and enhance client experience
  • business administration including financials, legal, and insurance matters
  • human resources and payroll management
  • scheduling for DVMs and technicians
  • managing equipment, drugs, and inventory
