Job Requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Equivalent to a college degree or equivalent work experience
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in PR or communications
- Proven media results and reporter relationships
- Exceptional writing and editing skills
- Crisis communication experience
- Familiarity with media monitoring tools
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Willingness to travel when required
Job Qualifications
- Equivalent to a college degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or related field
- 5-7 years of experience in PR, media relations, or corporate communications preferably in financial services or regulated industries
- Proven media results with portfolio of clips and strong reporter relationships
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with AP Style proficiency
- Experience in crisis and issue communication
- Ability to define KPIs and report communication outcomes
- Familiarity with media databases and monitoring platforms such as Muck Rack, Cision, Meltwater
- Proficient in Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat Professional
- Experience with multimedia channels including video and blogs
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to influence and build relationships
- Willingness to travel as needed
Job Duties
- Own the press program and build relationships with reporters
- Manage inbound media inquiries and coordinate interviews
- Draft and distribute press releases and media materials
- Monitor media coverage and produce media reports using CISION
- Plan and execute press events such as branch openings and sponsorship announcements
- Develop compelling narratives and write content for bylines, op-eds, and blogs
- Coordinate community partnership communications and CSR event materials
- Maintain crisis communication readiness and support real-time incident responses
- Ensure communication compliance with brand standards and federal regulations
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external vendors
- Perform other duties as assigned
