Job Requirements
- Food manager certification obtained prior to employment or willingness to complete Philz Coffee Food Manager certification within 30 days
- Ability to operate various machines, tools, and equipment
- Visual acuity for safety and accuracy
- Ability to remain stationary for 3 hours
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, and kneel
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds intermittently and lift 3 pounds repetitively to shoulder height
- Ability to grasp, finger, reach, and communicate effectively
Job Qualifications
- 3+ years experience managing a fast paced, high volume, customer service oriented business preferably in food service or retail
- Proven ability to manage financial aspects of retail operations including P&L oversight
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to create an inclusive and dynamic work environment
- Proven ability to recruit, motivate, train, and retain a high performing team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Proactive self-starter who works well independently and in a team environment
Job Duties
- Provide frontline leadership and guidance to team members
- Manage the financial health of the store including P&L oversight
- Create and cultivate a culture aligned with Philz core values
- Train, develop, and motivate team members for professional growth
- Maximize revenue and control operational costs
- Set goals, manage performance issues, and hold team accountable
- Partner with district recruiter to attract and retain diverse talent
