Job Requirements
- Ability to demonstrate intermediate culinary skills
- six months related experience
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- ability to achieve ServSafe certification within 90 days
- ability to complete Culinary Academy within 12 months
- availability to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- physical ability to perform job duties in fast-paced environment including lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance
- willingness to wear personal protective equipment
- capacity to maintain professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information
Job Qualifications
- Demonstrated intermediate culinary skills
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- six months of related experience required
- ability to achieve ServSafe certification within 90 days
- ability to complete Culinary Academy within 12 months
- capability to use basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and counting with whole numbers and fractions
- ability to maintain discretion in handling confidential information
- professional interaction with guests and team members
- ability to work irregular hours including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- physical ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, move freely, and lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally with assistance
- must wear required personal protective equipment
- necessary vision abilities including close, color, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and adjusting focus
Job Duties
- Perform intermediate food preparation and cooking duties including breading and marinating ingredients for use
- prepare desserts, appetizers, and hot foods
- season and cook meats, fish, and vegetables
- prepare menu items and dishes using griddle, flat top, fry, and/or tempura cooking methods
- use and clean kitchen surfaces, equipment, and utensils safely including ovens, grills, fryers, broilers, and knives
- ensure a safe, sanitary, and organized working environment working closely with stewards
- learn to perform skilled kitchen and cooking duties and assist other culinary team members
- assist in storing and rotating all inventories as needed
- perform opening and closing duties as needed
- work at other kitchens or venues as assigned based on business needs
- perform job duties in compliance with departmental internal controls, policies, procedures, and regulations
- perform other duties as assigned
