Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • 5 years of industry related sales experience within the distribution, hospitality or supplier community
  • Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license and ability to obtain and maintain auto liability insurance in accordance with state laws
  • Established successful sales history with the ability to coach and develop staff
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment to handle a variety of duties
  • Strong leadership, motivation and persuasive communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft office products
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

Job Duties

  • Drive brand success via leadership selling against trade channels and actively supporting the selling efforts of sales reps, district managers, and key account managers
  • Monitor field implementation and execution of programs for assigned brands to ensure product pricing and promotion
  • Regularly interact with field management for updating programming and brand priorities, brand standards and best practices leading to successful execution in the market
  • Provide detailed tracking reports of wholesaler performance against agreed-to supplier objectives
  • Develop and enhance strong supplier/distributor relationships
  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding brand case and account sold goals as well as gross margin goals
  • Function as the liaison between the supplier and the sales force
  • Communicate market conditions to the supplier (trend and brand issues)
  • Manage supplier inventory
  • Manage supplier accounts receivable
  • Understand the specific needs and marketing strategies of the key accounts
  • Plan special events designed to garner brand awareness among consumers and support supplier sales objectives
  • Work flexible hours which include early morning, evenings, and/or weekends
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
