Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year experience in related field preferred
- valid forklift or EPJ operation certification or experience
- ability to perform physical work including lifting 20 to 70 pounds
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- ability to follow safety protocols and procedures
- ability to communicate effectively with team and management
- willingness to maintain positive work relationships
- dedication to food safety and cleanliness standards
Job Qualifications
- 1 year experience in related field preferred
- 1 year EPJ experience in custodial or warehouse environments
- knowledge of cleaning in cold warehouse environments
- ability to follow oral and written instructions
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- physical capability to kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk and bend comfortably
- ability to move objects weighing 20 to 70 pounds
- ability to work in refrigerated and freezer environments
- problem-solving skills in independent or team settings
- strong safety commitment
Job Duties
- Perform porter duties such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning and general clean-up of outside and inside warehouse areas
- dust furniture, walls, clean machines, and equipment using ladders for high areas
- move boxes, crates, pallets, and supplies manually or with EPJ equipment
- sweep walkways, sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas, rake leaves and remove trash debris
- gather, remove waste and empty trash
- deep clean freezer, cooler, and racks in warehouse
- maintain food safety standards
- notify managers about major repairs or warehouse issues
- requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance
- work flexible hours including holidays
- lift and carry between 20 to 70 pounds
- walk or stand for extended periods
- develop and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers
- work safely according to company safety rules
- maintain warehouse facility including minor fixes such as filling gaps, replacing light bulbs, and repairing handles or valves
