Job Requirements
- Ability to work flexible evening and overnight shifts
- physical stamina to lift and move heavy objects
- ability to work with cleaning chemicals safely
- self-motivated and proactive
- ability to work in teams and independently
- prior experience in cleaning or porter roles
- willingness to follow safety and operational protocols
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance and cleaning supplies
- ability to operate cleaning equipment and buffers
- ability to lift heavy objects up to 40lbs
- experience in cleaning and maintenance roles preferred
- ability to understand and follow instructions
- strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- ability to work independently and take initiative
Job Duties
- Maintain the overall cleanliness of the building using diluted cleaning solutions and equipment
- clean and maintain elevators, bathrooms, hallways, stairways
- remove garbage regularly
- maintain sidewalks and entrances to museum and loading dock
- set up for events and prepare galleries for events and exhibitions
- move and deliver boxes not exceeding 50lbs
- operate vacuums and other cleaning equipment
- move furniture, files, brochures as needed
- assist with detailed cleaning after construction
- de-install and reinstall cafe, store, trustee room, and lobby for receptions
