Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Prior custodial or janitorial experience preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to lift heavy objects and perform physical labor
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, staff, and guests
- Must comply with all safety procedures and company policies
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in custodial or hospitality-related roles preferred
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery and safely mix chemicals
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of safety protocols and compliance
- Ability to lift, move, and transport furniture and equipment as needed
- Willingness to embrace and embody hospitality culture and values
Job Duties
- Assumes responsibilities for cleaning resident buildings, hallways, stairwells, windows, recycle rooms, elevators and lobbies
- Cleans rest rooms, storerooms, and assigned common areas
- Mixes chemicals as necessary
- Cleans floors, furnishings, walls, woodwork and specified equipment
- Dusts, sweeps, dry and wet mops, waxes and buff all community flooring
- Vacuums and shampoos carpets and rugs
- Cleans and polishes glass panels, doors, and partitions
- Empties and washes waste baskets, trash containers and ashtrays as needed
- Disinfects and deodorizes as directed
- Maintains department vehicles, equipment and work areas in a clean and orderly fashion
- Empties trash receptacles in and around building
- Moves furniture and performs exterior cleaning tasks for annual cleans
- Assists with moving furniture as directed for members or staff on a shared basis with Plant
- Performs other tasks as assigned by management or department supervision
- Stocks incoming supplies
- Clean interior/exterior windows and doors as assigned
- Assist in annual cleans
- Assists with function set up to include room cleanliness, table and chair set up and clean up
- Understands the responsibility to report suspected violations of The Cypress Club Code of Conduct to appropriate persons, or to The Cypress Club Compliance Hotline, or by completing a Written Report of Suspected Compliance Violation, or by contacting the Corporate Compliance Officer directly
- Takes appropriate precautions to avoid job related injuries and complies with injury reporting guidelines
- Actively participates in safety programs and complies with The Cypress Club policies and procedures
- Embraces The Cypress Hospitality Promises daily
- Looks for ways to continuously improve safety for members, staff and visitors
