Job Requirements

  • Must have prior experience in a casino environment
  • must understand floor care procedures
  • must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license
  • must have basic computer skills
  • ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
  • ability to write simple correspondence
  • ability to be physically mobile and stand/walk for 8 to 12-hour shifts
  • excellent guest service and communication skills
  • must be able to work in areas containing dust, secondhand smoke, varying noise and temperature levels
  • must present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
  • regular and punctual attendance is required

Job Duties

  • Oversees tasks assigned to porters by supervisors or manager to maintain the daily appearance of the casino
  • act as a trainer and mentor for porters and provide guidance and direction in the completion of work activities
  • performs a variety of general cleaning duties including dusting, scrubbing, wiping, mopping, and vacuuming
  • performs cleaning in various areas including casino floor machines, dining areas, public areas, hallways, stairwells, elevators, bathrooms, break rooms, and offices
  • performs carpet care and resilient floor cleaning according to procedure and as assigned
  • mixes, labels, monitors and properly utilizes a variety of approved cleaning products
  • conducts specialized clean-up according to procedure, including blood spill and hazardous materials clean-up
  • follows infection control procedures including proper hand washing, trash disposal, and wearing protective clothing
  • ensures compliance with safety protocols and reports hazardous conditions, defective equipment, and incidents to supervisor
  • may act as go-to person for EVS-related issues in the absence of Building and Grounds Supervisor
  • performs other duties as assigned by management
