Goddard Riverside Community Center and the Stanley M. Isaacs Neighborhood Center are prominent community-based organizations located in Manhattan, New York City. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness preferred
  • ability to effectively communicate in writing and orally
  • ability to maintain professional boundaries
  • basic computer literacy
  • physically able to perform duties involving frequent bending, kneeling, and walking
  • willingness to work mainly in an indoor/outdoor community center setting

Job Qualifications

  • ability to maintain professional boundaries
  • basic computer literacy required
  • bilingual abilities a plus

Job Duties

  • Monitor residential program to ensure safety and well-being of residents
  • conduct regular rounds and engage with individuals experiencing homelessness
  • screen residents and visitors at the front door
  • create and maintain written documentation including logbook entries and incident reports
  • manage inventory of supplies
  • provide emergency first aid, CPR assistance, and NARCAN administration when needed
  • assist with inspections and audits
  • maintain a clean and orderly facility
  • perform related duties as assigned
