Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather
- physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds with assistance
- able to perform repetitive tasks like sweeping and mopping
- flexibility to work weekends, evenings, overtime or on-call
- reliable transportation for travel between communities
- adherence to company safety policies and procedures
- punctuality and professional appearance
Job Qualifications
- no previous maintenance experience required
- ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
- bilingual skills are a plus
- strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- basic knowledge of cleaning techniques, tools, and materials
- ability to safely use hand tools and maintenance equipment
- strong organizational and time-management skills
- dependable and able to work with minimal supervision
- team-oriented with willingness to assist other departments
- awareness and compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
- valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record and auto insurance if duties require vehicle or golf cart operation
Job Duties
- cleaning common areas including offices, laundry facilities, hallways, lobbies, lounges, bathrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms
- ensure all exterior walks and stairs are free of hazards
- report to work on time with neat appearance and courteous behavior
- check common areas, parking lots, trash enclosures, playground and pool areas for cleanliness throughout the day
- transport trash and waste to disposal areas
- replenish bathroom supplies and replace light bulbs
- operate cleaning equipment such as blowers, high-pressure hoses, brooms, mops, and carpet cleaning machines
- assist in preparing vacant apartments for move-in by light cleaning and debris removal
- adhere to safety standards and report any safety concerns
- travel to other TAM Residential communities as required
- assist with resident social activities and posting notices
- maintain company tools properly
