Job Requirements
- High school graduation or GED required
- janitorial or maintenance experience required
- ability to read, write, speak and understand English fluently
- ability to use cleaning machines including vacuums, buffing machines, floor sweepers
- ability to follow directions
- ability to work with minimal supervision
- ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell
- ability to lift or carry up to 100 lbs
- availability to work Monday, Tuesday, and Sunday
- willingness to attend training sessions
- adherence to uniform and appearance standards
- capability to respond to emergency situations
- compliance with HIPAA and safety standards
- ability to handle time-sensitive and stressful situations
- willingness to work on call and participate in rotation
Job Qualifications
- High school graduation or GED
- technical training in mechanics, electrical, plumbing or HVAC desired
- technical training in janitorial activities desired
- janitorial or maintenance experience
- 2 years experience in similar janitorial position desired
- ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- ability to use cleaning machines and hand tools

- professionalism and ethical conduct
Job Duties
- Repairs damaged areas of flooring including tile, hardwood, concrete, carpet, and linoleum
- cleans and sanitizes all flooring throughout the campus
- services and repairs janitorial equipment
- dispenses soap, paper products, and janitorial supplies to appropriate departments or areas
- completes refurbishment tasks of rooms, apartments, common areas, utility spaces, and houses to 'like new' status
- notifies supervisors of supply shortages, equipment defects, or building damage
- performs preventative maintenance tasks including cleaning and repair of baseboards, trim, doors, windows, shower stalls, sinks, sidewalks, mats, countertops, cabinets, and furniture
- travels occasionally for training and company functions
- maintains fire and safety procedures knowledge
- completes all work orders timely
- maintains excellent resident and employee relations
- attends in-services and janitorial education programs
- available for on-call and emergency situations
- accepts other duties as assigned
