Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in janitorial or housekeeping work preferred
- ability to operate and maintain cleaning equipment
- ability to perform physical labor including lifting heavy items up to 75 pounds
- willingness to work flexible hours including overnight shifts
- successful completion of hazardous material and bloodborne pathogens training within 3-6 months
- reliable and punctual attendance
- knowledge of safety procedures and use of safety equipment
- ability to work any day of the week with occasional additional hours
Job Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience performing positively and achieving objective-based results
- demonstrated experience in problem-solving, organizing, and prioritizing work
- experience in janitorial or housekeeping duties specifically in a spa setting is preferred
- knowledge and experience with floor care machines such as buffers and extractors is preferred
- successful completion of hazardous material and bloodborne pathogens training within 3-6 months
- ability to perform physical exertion including walking, climbing, stooping, bending, stretching, reaching, pushing, kneeling, squatting, crouching, standing for entire shifts
- ability to lift 50 to 75 pounds using standard cleaning chemicals
- strong communication skills
- ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment
Job Duties
- Removes all trash on a continuous basis through the casino and spa including floors between slot machines and trash receptacles
- operates and maintains various cleaning equipment while providing employees with cleaning equipment and premixed chemicals as required
- cleans and maintains the outside appearance of the casinos including snow and ice removal
- monitors all parking lots for trash removal, sweeping cigarette trash, and emptying outdoor smoking receptacles
- vacuums, sweeps, and mops floors within the casino and spa
- cleans, sanitizes, and maintains guest and employee restrooms ensuring they are stocked with personal products
- cleans and sanitizes spa treatment rooms, relaxation areas, locker rooms, lobby, wet rooms, pool deck, fitness center, and yoga room
- maintains a clean and safe work environment by following safety procedures and reporting unsafe conditions
- maintains good public relations with guests and employees while enhancing safety and providing information
- ensures regular and reliable attendance for effective operation
