Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in facility maintenance or janitorial work preferred
- Ability to lift 25 lbs
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders
- Manual dexterity for tools and movement
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to work in various locations including crawl spaces and roofs
- Basic computer literacy
- Strong attendance record
- Willingness to work overtime if necessary
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and electrical drawings
- Valid work authorization for the United States
Job Qualifications
- Climb stairs and ladders and utilize an aerial lift with training
- Lift 25 lbs or more
- Work standing all day
- Access remote work areas like crawl spaces and roofs
- Utilize full manual dexterity including sitting, squatting, bending, crawling, kneeling, lifting, walking, manipulating tools
- Meet attendance requirements
- Read and use shop manuals and electrical drawings
- Use test equipment such as analog/digital multi-meters, pressure and temperature devices, air flow measuring devices, and leak detection devices
- Work overtime as needed
- Basic computer skills and ability to use spreadsheet programs
- Possess a can do attitude with a will do work ethic
- Think analytically and creatively with attention to detail
- Communicate effectively with all management levels
- Exhibit excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Job Duties
- Maintain ethical, professional, and courteous relations with contractors and employees
- Wash and sanitize contact surfaces
- Empty trash canisters as needed
- Clean all spills/messes in and around the center and parking lot
- Keep dumpster area, parking lot, and sidewalk free of debris
- Ensure vending machines and coffee dispensers are adequately serviced
- Operate equipment within management guidelines to assure building functions
- Maintain professional appearance and manner
- Comply with all city, state, and federal safety and environmental laws
- Perform general maintenance and limited operations of HVAC equipment
- Assist in ordering, stocking, and inventory of lighting and ballasts
- Maintain lighting and ceiling tile requests
- Ensure day-time stocking of shared paper towel/napkin services
- Inspect and clean restrooms as needed
- Perform occasional preventative maintenance of shared spaces
- Ensure hazardous waste items are properly disposed of
- Maintain ceiling tile inventory and replace damaged tiles
- Perform other duties as assigned
