Job Duties
- Assists with non-patient food services as needed
- Ensures all trash receptacles are emptied and cleaned
- Moves furniture, equipment and other items as required
- Stocks food, paper, and beverage supplies using proper shelf rotation procedures
- Communicates proper information regarding patient, non-patient or departmental needs to Group Leaders, Food Service Supervisors or the Support Services Manager
- Accomplishes other duties as directed
- Models essential service behaviors such as excellent communication and customer service skills with patients, nursing staff, and visitors
- Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures
- Participates in monthly departmental meetings and all related inservices
- Follows outlined cleaning procedures of patient tray delivery carts as needed
- Assists in dishroom area as needed
- Observes all departmental rules and regulations
- Aware of and follows all universal precautions as they apply to food services
- Follows chain of command when communicating departmental and individual concerns or problems
- Works consistently to exceed Patient Satisfaction goals
- Embraces change, works rotating shifts according to experience and business needs, and performs any other duties as assigned
