Job Requirements
- Clean and remove debris from walkways, parking lots, and outdoor areas
- empty trash cans regularly
- maintain tools and equipment
- ensure safe and proper use of tools and equipment
- assist with snow and ice removal if applicable
- support maintenance staff with light tasks as needed
- inspect vacated units and create a punch list of needed repairs
- paint walls, patch holes, and touch up surfaces
- replace or repair appliances, light fixtures, plumbing fixtures, and hardware as needed
- test and ensure all systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) are functioning
- install blinds, doors, smoke detectors, and other fixtures
- communicate with property management and maintenance staff about unit status and timelines
- maintain inventory of supplies and request materials as needed
- ensure units meet cleanliness and safety standards before move-in
Job Qualifications
- At least 12 months of onsite experience
- possess valid identification
- knowledge of basic maintenance and repair techniques
- ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
- strong communication and customer service skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- basic understanding of safety protocols in property maintenance
Job Duties
- Prepare vacant apartments for market ready status through turn-over repairs and improvements
- maintain snow removal, cleaning and maintenance of grounds, including common areas
- provide residents with outstanding customer service
