Job Duties

  • Assist Service Advisors by greeting customers on the drive and moving vehicles through the lot as quickly as possible
  • Install disposable seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats, and tags in all vehicles taken in for service
  • Inspect for and record on the repair order any vehicle damage present when the vehicle is taken in for service
  • Drive vehicles from the service lane to their proper places in the service parking lot
  • Deliver the keys and repair order hard copies as instructed by the Service Manager after parking a vehicle in the service parking lot
  • Make sure all vehicles in the service parking lot are kept locked and that all windows are rolled up
  • Assist in moving disabled vehicles in or around the Service Department
  • Retrieve customer vehicles from the parking lot when their bill is paid or as directed by the Cashier
  • Inspect each vehicle for lot damage that may have been done during the vehicle's stay in the Service Department
  • Remove seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats, and ID tabs prior to returning a completed vehicle to a customer
  • Clean vehicles thoroughly for grease spots or any other stains or debris left by the Service Department
  • Thank customers in a friendly and courteous manner when delivering completed vehicles
  • Maintain the parking lot in a neat and organized manner and keep the parking areas free of debris
  • Perform general cleaning and janitorial duties in the common areas of the facilities
  • Perform limited grounds maintenance such as trimming hedges and cleaning sidewalks
  • Other duties as assigned by management
